Actor Jay Pickett, who was best known for his roles on the daytime dramas “General Hospital” and “Days of Our Lives,” died unexpectedly while filming “Treasure Valley” in Idaho on Friday. He was 60 years old at the time.
“The reason for his death has not been officially determined, although it looks to have been a heart attack. Everyone in the room did everything they could to keep him alive. Mills continued, “Our hearts are torn, and we sorrow for his family, who have been devastated by this awful incident.”
“I’m sure many of you are aware of the tragedy that occurred two days ago. “Our main guy, writer, producer, and creator of this film, Jay Pickett, passed very unexpectedly while we were on-site filming a scene,” wrote Travis Mills, one of the film’s stars.
Jay Pickett was born on February 10, 1961, in Spokane, Washington. Pickett grew up in Caldwell, Idaho. He got his BA in acting from Boise State University and his MFA in acting from UCLA, where he appeared in various theater plays.
